hummingbird-time

bright sun; wet sneeze bursts ~
weaving roll: and drops glint past ~
we live at tenth speed ~

I've read that hummingbird hearts beat ten to twenty times as fast as ours. Perhaps they experience time differently?

  1. I would guess they DO experience time differently. I enjoyed your haiku, and glad to see you participating as part of the Poetry Pantry Community!

  2. I get a lot of hummingbirds here and always marvel at how fast their little wings go......

  3. awesome, fine, a fine read. very good writing, fun haiku.

interesting about the hummingbirds. they are so quick, i wonder what it is they see? i'm wondering if their entire perception, and their speed of light is different.

    it was fun.
