Haiku Bones prompt: peace
There is no silence as gratifying as the void after my kitchen radio is clicked off suddenly. The blasts of disaster and whinnying clutter are gone. They leave behind a warm blanket of quietude.
ah, so true.
ReplyDeletesometimes it is almost startling, that sudden silence -- as if something is wrong when there's no human noise!
True, silence holds a peace that doesn't come from most noise!
ReplyDeleteImmediately I thought of my morning radio alarm! It is great at the weekend when the "whinnying clutter" gets no chance of utterance!
ReplyDeleteYes, very nice!
ReplyDeleteI share the feeling in particular when it is breakfast time and all I want is utter silence.
ReplyDeleteGeez, my father used to say this in lot more colorful way! He wasn't much for the radio, and especially, rock music.
ReplyDeleteoh so true......not enough silence in this world. have your heard of the book/concept of one square inch of silence. I read the book this past summer. so interesting. oops a stink bug just dropped on the table near me with a thud, interupting my silence! and soon my sweet air.
ReplyDeletei can relate to this feeling .. sudden void is mst silent and questioning peace !
