Padraig’s triple repetitions are a trifle nerve-wracking; until you realize that each makes the point more real for him -- each a mewling ghost born of his inattentive, rarely sober father’s unstudied indifference.

      Thanks, I love this quote from the "Hunting of the Snark". I've always thought that Lewis Carroll was tweaking some repetitious Oxford don or clergyman he knew!

    Had to use Paddy, to protect the irritating, since I cheated and this is roman a clef, if indeed my 33 word run-on sentence can even be dignified so.
