first

That first, fat drop of Summer rain always carries a little anxiety with it  -- did I leave the windows open? Will it be a thunderstorm, or a gentle sprinkling?

Linking to Haiku Heights #153: first

one droplet embarks
splatters scruffily in dust
rooftop waits idly

  3. Splendid! Here's the French version...

    une gouttelette embarque
des éclaboussures dépenaillées dans la poussière
le faîte du toit attend oisif

    1. And here is your lovely translation automatically translated from French to Japanese and then from Japanese to English:

      Droplet, embedded
      Irregular splash in the dust
Ridge of the roof idle waiting

Japanese computer translation is rough compared to other languages. I find the "translate/translate back" method can sometimes give me a different point of view!
